Our Services
Anxiety, depression and panic affect your entire life…and your whole body.
In our experience, these problems are the result of 4 powerful forces that all interact at different levels in each person.
Stress
We all have it, but it affects us all differently. Chronic stress like past emotional traumas or a strong stressful event changes you. If alters your HPA Axis which is a brain-body connection which has wide ranging effects on your mood and overall health. As this stress continues, your brain shifts into a chronic fight or flight mode, but now its emotional AND physical.
Biochemical Imbalances
The #1 chemical imbalance in the body related to these problems is INFLAMMATION. In fact, if you google the words ‘Depression Inflammation’, you get over 15 million hits!
Check out this study: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/labs/articles/27337107/
Inflammation is only part of it. MTHFR gene mutations play a role. These are tiny alterations in the way your genes work which can result in your body making less Serotonin and Dopamine than it needs!

Gut imbalances can also play a role! Does the anxiety or depression cause you to have a weak stomach, diarrhea and constipation OR is it the other way around???
Check this: http://www.apa.org/monitor/2012/09/gut-feeling.aspx
And there are many others like; mitochondrial dysfunction, vitamin/mineral deficiencies, metal toxicity, obesity, etc.
Neurological Weakness
Slight alterations in the way your brain cells communicate electrically can also have a profound effect on the way you think and feel. This can happen as a result of long standing stress or concussion or even a slight bump on the head! Either way, we can identify these weaknesses by looking at certain eye movements called Saccades, Pursuits and Convergence.

We can also see these brain changes on a special test called a QEEG.
Lack of Sunlight and OverExposure to Indoor Lights and Technology
This is a huge problem in our society as our brain NEEDS the Sun! The brain has two pacemakers. One in the Thalamus that is stimulated by movement of the body and other sensations. The other is in the Hypothalamus called the Suprachiasmatic Nucleus which is stimulated by sunlight.
Too little sunlight and too much artificial light or TV, computer and smartphone use creates a change in the pacemaker which has wide ranging effects on brain health.
Our Program
Medication, although it may be necessary in some patients, is not a first line therapy in our practice. We start with a very comprehensive intake where we do a consultation, lifestyle evaluation, past treatment history, psychological testing, blood, urine, stool and genetic testing.
We get to know more about our patients than anyone has ever known before and that gives us the best opportunity to help them.
Because these problems change the way you think, feel and function, the only way to truly beat them is an aggressive and intensive program to address the emotion, biochemical, neurological and lifestyle issues that we have identified.
This is NOT trial and error.
You will work with our team for a minimum of 30-60 minutes, twice per week for 3 months. Long lasting change takes time and we want to make sure that we are setting our patients up for success.
The program will include:
Dietary modification
Exercise plan
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
Eye movement rehab
Natural compounds to balance chemistry
Lifestyle modification plan
Neuro-laser therapy
Neurofeedback
Meditation
HRV Training
Resiliency classes.
As you can see, this list is quite extensive. We are committed to helping our patients to heal.
